Reflections on Chanukah

I know Chanukah has, in fact, passed but I wanted to make a note of a great article in last weekend's Jerusalem Post by Barbara Sofer, who writes so many warm, humane and thoughtful articles - not always the case at the JP. Her article was entitled, The Human Spirit: Women and Hannukah, and not only addressed a number of interesting points about the role of the Hasmonean women in the battle with the Hellenic forces, but also talks about how women participate in the chag (festival) itself. Well worth a read.
